STCU’s Othello Branch is moving – but not far.

[june 29, 2026]

Celebrate the new Othello Branch

STCU will host a grand opening celebration for the updated Othello location from 11:30 a.m. – 1:30 p.m. on Wednesday, July 15. Anyone is welcome to drop by.

On July 1, the Spokane-based credit union will relocate its Othello Branch lobby to 1335 E. Main St., where it has operated a four-lane drive-through since 2023.

With the move completed, STCU will permanently close its existing STCU Othello Branch, at 450 E. Main St., on July 8. The two locations are less than a mile apart.

The newly constructed 3,300-square-foot space includes four offices, six teller stations, a spacious lobby, and additional parking. Spokane-based ALSC Architects designed the building; Richland, Wash.-based CTC Construction was general contractor.

STCU acquired its Othello Branch in 2021 and immediately saw the need for a new location. An inadequate parking lot sometimes caused congestion as STCU members waited for drive-through service. That prompted construction of the new drive-through, built with expansion in mind.

“We were excited to see so many friendly faces in need of services in Othello, but the original branch just didn’t have the capacity” said STCU Retail Director Luke Todd. “This new branch will ensure that STCU’s prompt, member-focused service will continue for years to come.”

Branch leadership is unchanged with the move; Danae Valdez remains Community Branch Manager and Lulu Gonzalez remains Assistant Branch Manager.
