The STCU Here for Good Foundation is an amplifier of community impact, supporting nonprofit organizations and schools that serve communities and citizens across Eastern Washington, Central Washington, the Tri‑Cities, North Idaho, and Eastern Oregon.
Through grants, partnerships, and cooperative efforts, the foundation helps strengthen collective action and advance work already happening in our communities.
How we approach grant giving.
The need in our communities is great, and we are unable to fund every request. To make the greatest possible impact, the Here for Good Foundation reviews grant requests using a high standard of eligibility and purpose.
As an impact driver and community convenor, the foundation focuses its support where coordinated effort can make the most difference, prioritizing organizations that align with STCU’s community‑wide approach to addressing shared challenges.
Areas of impact.
The Here for Good Foundation supports work in three key impact areas:
- Education.
Creating opportunities for youth, inspiring them to reach their full potential, and enhancing educational experiences, including financial education. - Arts and culture.
Promoting creativity, celebrating diversity, and strengthening community connection through cultural expression. - Economic development.
Promoting economic opportunity for all by supporting efforts that build stability and long‑term vitality in our communities.
Eligibility.
Applications for Here for Good Foundation grants are accepted from organizations and programs that:
- Have 501(c)(3) tax‑exempt status or are public schools.
- Demonstrate impact aligned with the Foundation’s focus areas.
- Serve communities and citizens in Eastern Washington, Central Washington, the Tri‑Cities, North Idaho, and/or Eastern Oregon.

- You don’t need to be an STCU member to apply for a Here for Good Foundation grant.
- While the Here for Good Foundation and STCU are separate entities, you don’t need to submit separate requests for both an STCU donation and a Foundation grant. Apply using the link above, and your request will be reviewed to determine the best fit.
Request a grant.
To begin your grant request, click the submission button above. Be prepared to provide the following information:
- Contact information, including name, mailing address, and phone number(s).
- Name of the registered nonprofit organization submitting the request.
- Information about the organization and its mission.
- Details about the event or program, including purpose, dates, locations, number of people served, and anticipated attendance.
- Specific funding request (optional levels of support, sponsor benefits, volunteer needs, etc.).
Examples of sponsor benefits may include newsletter inclusion, logo placement, promotional materials, social media acknowledgments, or event tickets or tables.
Once your request is received, the foundation will respond in writing within 120 days.
