While you’re on the go (or even at home) STCU has multiple ways to keep you up to date on the latest info about your accounts.
Setting up notifications covers a wide variety of options, including alerts for logins, deposits, withdrawals, transfers, debit card purchases, and many more.
First, let's go over where to start.
Getting set up is easy.
- Select “more services” in your STCU mobile app or online banking
- Click “alerts” from the menu.
- Choose which accounts you’d like to set alerts up on.
- Decide which alerts you’d like to receive.
- Click the toggle next to that alert and pick your preferences.
How you receive the alerts is up to you. You can choose to receive an SMS alert, email alert, push notification alert -- or even all three!
Choosing the SMS option will allow you to receive alerts as a text message right to your phone. These will arrive like any other text message, except they will be directly from STCU.
Choosing the email option lets you get alerts sent straight to your inbox. You can see them both on your smartphone and computer email inboxes.
Using push notifications
Choosing the push notification option will allow you to receive alerts right on your phone from the STCU app. These alerts will appear on the lock screen or notification center, just like a notification from Instagram or DoorDash.
Now that you’re up to speed on all the available options, you can start receiving real-time updates about your account activity. That means if you’re on a date with a special someone and receive a notification about a purchase you didn’t make for that special someone, you can take action quickly thanks to the alert. Whether that’s on the go or at home, it pays to be in the know!
