Where we give and why.
STCU’s community investment program provides financial support, in-kind contributions, and volunteer hours to organizations and community events that serve North Idaho, Eastern Oregon, and Eastern and Central Washington.
Whether you’re looking for a donation or a sponsorship, we invite you to submit your request through our portal. STCU proudly supports programs and events that align with our mission to build vibrant, resilient communities.
Donation requests.
We focus our contributions on these type of programs and events:
- Education — Creating opportunities for youth, inspiring them to reach their full potential, and enhance their educational experience. This includes financial education.
- Arts and culture — Encouraging creativity while celebrating local culture and diversity.
- Community — Supporting stability and wellbeing, especially for youth and families.
Because STCU receives more donation requests than we can meet, we objectively screen requests based on a high standard of eligibility and purpose, distributing our limited donation budget to areas that focus on our mission and purpose.
Eligibility.
To be eligible for an STCU donation, your organization or program must:
- Have 501(c)(3) tax-exempt status (verified through Guidestar) or be a public school.
- Demonstrate impact within STCU’s focused giving areas.
- Benefit communities and residents in North Idaho, Eastern Oregon, and Eastern and Central Washington.
You don’t need to be an STCU member to apply.
Please note that STCU typically doesn’t fund individuals, travel expenses, sports teams, or causes that are primarily religious or political in nature.
Sponsorship requests.
To be eligible for a corporate sponsorship, the organization and/or event needs to benefit STCU's service area of North Idaho, Eastern Oregon, and Eastern and Central Washington.
Examples: Chamber of Commerce or Economic Development Council events, festivals, cultural events, or other sponsorships.
