Education is essential.

As an organization founded by schoolteachers, STCU remains deeply committed to public education.

[january 25, 2021]

Our year-round support of K-12 education includes sponsoring back-to-school events for staff at scores of school districts, bringing financial education to the classroom, and much, much more.

Your credit union actively supports school levies – including those that will be on the February 9, 2021, ballot in many Washington communities, and on March 9 in Idaho. We join Greater Spokane Incorporated and other community organizations in urging you to vote yes for schools – and for kids!

In many ways, this is the most challenging school year our communities have ever experienced. Whether students receive their lessons in a school building, or at the kitchen table, education remains essential to the wellbeing of individuals, families, and communities. That’s true this year, and will remain true after the 2020-21 school year is relegated to history books.

Your vote to support education is a vote for the future. As a financial cooperative, we believe that’s a wise investment.
