The Here for Good Foundation on Thursday  surprised Richland-based Academy of Children’s Theatre with a $5,000 grant.

“STCU has supported ACT for its contributions to the arts education, and all the benefits that provides to young participants,” said Luke Todd, STCU Director of Retail in Tri-Cities. “We’re happy that the Here for Good Foundation will continue that history of support.”

Known as “your family’s theater,” ACT provides theater arts educational classes, camps, and workshops for grades preschool through high school. Additionally, ACT produces at least five MainStage plays and musicals each season, and partners with other local non-profits for educational and collaborative outreach.

Now in its 27th season, the non-profit group recently wrapped up performances of “The Lion, The Witch, and the Wardrobe” and is rehearsing for May performances of “Into the Woods.”
