Electric City’s John Nordine is excited for STCU to join the community.
“STCU came into my world when I was getting an auto loan,” said John. “They had great rates, and it kind of snowballed from there.”
Following an auto loan, a boat loan, and a home refinance, John reached his dream of having a “really big garage” built in the summer of 2021. He turned to STCU to finance the structure, which is big enough to house all his vehicles, and more.
“Go big or go home.”
“It’s bigger than my house — I couldn’t build anything bigger on the lot, otherwise I would have,” said John. “I don’t know if it’s the biggest garage in town, but it’s close.”
The power of D.I.Y.
Online banking.
“Online banking at STCU is very easy to navigate,” said John. “I have direct deposit, billpay, and aut0matic withdrawals.”
John’s boat loan, home refinance, and construction loan were all started online, as well. “I know what to expect with STCU: It’s easy,” John said.
Mobile app.
“I use the STCU mobile app to pay bills and check my accounts,” said John. “It’s got a lot of miscellaneous features you can use without having to talk on the phone.”
“It’s a positive thing.”
As a CDFCU member for over 30 years, John knows how important a credit union can be to a community, especially when it’s so tied so closely to local industry. He’s confident that STCU will continue to fill that role.
“I tell everyone that I’m happy to see the merger happening,” John said. “Our local folks will still have the opportunity to use a credit union.”
