With the new embedded microchip, your STCU Debit MasterCard® is safer than ever for purchases and getting cash at the ATM. There's no charge for your first debit card or to renew it. (Fees for lost cards may apply.)

  • Where available, use the merchant's chip reader and your personal identification number (PIN) to complete the transaction.
  • At self-service gas stations and other locations not yet chip-enabled, you can continue to slide your card through the reader and sign for your transaction.

Not all merchants are prepared for the new technology, so, for a few years, expect to see cards with chips and magnetic stripes. You'll need your PIN with some cards, but not others.

Your STCU Debit MasterCard is accepted at millions of store locations and online sites, including Costco Wholesale Stores. Use your debit card to get cash or manage your accounts with no surcharge at any ATM displaying the CO-OP or STCU logo. Each transaction and purchase you make with your debit card is automatically recorded on your account statement.

Report lost or stolen cards

To report a lost or stolen STCU debit card, call the credit union immediately at (509) 326-1954, (208) 619-4000, or (800) 858-3750. After hours, call (888) 241-2510 in the United States or (909) 941-1398 internationally.

Fraud monitoring

For your protection, STCU's fraud monitoring service may call you if unauthorized use of your credit or debit cards is detected. Fraud monitoring calls originate only from one of two numbers: (877) 276-3721 and (866) 518-0213.
