Help spread the warmth this winter.
A good coat does more than block the cold. It lets kids play, walk to school, and just enjoy being kids in the winter months.
For 40 years, 4 News Now’s annual Coats 4 Kids drive has been dedicated to making sure children stay warm when the temperatures drop. Over the decades, it’s led to hundreds of thousands of coats going to families who need them.
How can you help?
We’re collecting new or gently used coats at every STCU branch location. Think cozy, heavy jackets. The ones kids can wear while waiting for the bus or playing in the snow.
Here’s what we can’t take:
- Hoodies
- Windbreakers
- Sweatshirts
- Hats
- Gloves
- Socks
These items can be hard to clean and may not hold up in the industrial washers used before coats are distributed.
Would you rather make monetary donation?
You can absolutely do that. You can donate online or at any STCU branch.
If you're an STCU member, you can log into online banking to donate.
- Under "Transfer and pay", choose "Transfers or loan payments."
- In the “To account” drop down, select “Add an account” at the bottom.
- Select “Send money to another STCU member.”
- Enter “STCU” in the last name field.
- Select “Account” in the verification method field and enter “2004315368” in the account number field.
- Click Save. You will be prompted to verify your identity with multi-factor authentication.
- Now you can finish the transfer process.
